Broker/Owner Season Ware opened The Property Shop in 2009. The brokerage now has more than 125 agents and annual sales volume of more than $250 million.

The Private Label program, announced in January, allows independent brokerages to use Real's platform without changing their brand.

"Real's Private Label Program offers the best of both worlds," Ware said.

"By aligning with Real, we get to keep the heart and boost the power of our business by gaining access to state-of-the art technology, training, equity and a culture that meshes perfectly with ours. I've committed to always doing what's best for my team, and this was a no-brainer," Ware added.

"Season's commitment to a core set of values that empower agents to succeed align with the culture we are building at Real," Real President Sharran Srivatsaa said. "The Property Shop has built a successful business that will benefit from our Private Label program … and I look forward to seeing how this move will allow them to supercharge their business."

Lakepoint, a lake-home focused firm led by Dan McCarron, has the highest market share in Maine's lakefront property sector, while Portside holds the largest market share among independent real estate brokerages in the state.

"By integrating Lakepoint's specialized expertise with our extensive resources, we are ready to redefine excellence in the real estate sector across Central Maine," said Dava Davin, founder and CEO of Portside Real Estate Group. "This acquisition represents more than just an expansion; it's a significant opportunity for which I am truly grateful. It allows us to continue growing in ways that align with our core values and commitment to excellence."

McCarron agreed. "Joining forces with Portside Real Estate Group marks a pivotal chapter for us," he said. "Together, we will continue to serve our community with even greater resources, reinforcing our commitment to top-tier real estate solutions in Central Maine."

McCarron will continue to lead the Lakepoint office in Belgrade Lakes, Maine, as part of Portside's network of offices throughout coastal Maine and New Hampshire.

KW celebrates volunteerism with 'RED Day'

Keller Williams associates celebrated the company's 16th annual "RED Day" of community service this week.

RED stands for Renew, Energize and Donate. Each year, Keller Williams agents across the globe take the day to focus on community service, working with local nonprofit partners to benefit neighborhoods where they work.

"RED Day embodies our commitment to giving back and making a tangible impact in the communities we serve every day," said Mark Willis, CEO and president of Keller Williams. "As a driving force for positive change, our agents are making a difference beyond real estate across the world today. RED Day is truly our culture in action."

On May 9, KW agents across the world worked on projects from helping to establish community gardens to providing support to abandoned dogs to stocking shelves in food banks and assisting veterans preparing for job interviews.

"Seeing examples of compassion, service, and community on RED Day is both touching and inspiring," said Rebecca Durfey, a Glendale, Arizona-based KW agent. "It is an honor to stand among so many who do not just talk about giving back but jump in and find the most needed and effective ways to put their words into action."
