Editor's note: As an industry with millions of agents and over 100,000 brokerage companies, new leaders rise to the top every day. Here we highlight executives and other notable leaders who've recently taken on, or stepped away from, roles that influence the residential real estate landscape.

Leadership changes at major RE/MAX firm

John Collopy is retiring after a 40-year career spent building RE/MAX Results into one of the country's top real estate firms and the second-largest RE/MAX franchise.

He will turn his attention to personal projects, working on his third book and devoting more time to The Results Foundation, a nonprofit that partners with local housing and community organizations across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

This significant shift in leadership also includes the promotion of Suzanne Bushard — Collopy's daughter — to the new role of president of RE/MAX Results.

"Please join me in expressing our profound gratitude to John for his remarkable contributions and in congratulating Suzanne for her new role. We are excited about the future of Results Companies and confident in our continued growth and success," Brenda Tushaus, CEO of RE/MAX Results, said in a statement.

Bushard has been the general manager of Results Title and will continue to oversee operations there while taking on new duties.

"Suzanne has been a part of our affiliate company for nearly 15 years, demonstrating outstanding leadership and commitment," Tushaus said. "As John's daughter, she will continue John's legacy and propel Results Companies forward."

RE/MAX Results was the No. 2 RE/MAX franchise and ranked No. 28 among all brokerages in 2022, according to T3 Sixty's 2023 Real Estate Almanac, with more than $7.4 billion in sales volume that year.

Offerpad brings on former Turner Broadcasting exec as CFO
