Long & Foster leader lands at Premier Sotheby's in Florida
After more than two decades in leadership roles at Long & Foster, Jackie Thiel is joining Premier Sotheby's International Realty as president.
She will oversee daily operations for the brokerage, which is based in Naples, Florida, and home to 1,400 global real estate advisors across 40 offices in Florida and North Carolina.
Thiel has worked in real estate for more than 30 years, spending much of her career at Long & Foster after the brokerage acquired her firm, Bowers, Nelms & Fonville, in 1998. She was promoted to president of Long & Foster in 2023 following the sudden departure of Larry "Boomer" Foster, and oversaw the firm's 200 offices and 9,000 agents.
When Thiel announced that she would be leaving Long & Foster, CEO Patrick Bain praised her as "an incredible leader," noting that "throughout the changes we've navigated at Long & Foster and in our industry, Jackie has remained singularly focused on the most important part of our mission: the growth and success of our agents and employees and the delivery of a customer experience that is unmatched and memorable."
In her new role at Sotheby's, Thiel reports to CEO Budge Huskey, who highlighted Thiel's leadership experience, "particularly in scaling large brokerages while respecting that culture is the foundation for success." He added that "her commitment to advisor development and customer service perfectly aligns with our brand's values."
For her part, Thiel said she was "excited to collaborate with such a talented group of professionals and build on the company's strong foundation," expressing her commitment to helping the brokerage "continue to elevate the customer experience and reinforce [Premier Sotheyby's] position as the leaders in the luxury market."
Coldwell Banker promotes Atlanta broker to regional VP
Longtime broker Sherry Noles has been named the new regional vice president for Coldwell Banker's Atlanta region.
Noles previously led the Coldwell Banker Realty Marietta/Cobb and Douglasville offices as managing broker before becoming Atlanta district manager. In her new position, she will oversee 10 offices with around 1,400 sales associates.
In addition to her leadership roles, Noles also brings two decades of on-the-ground experience as an Atlanta real estate agent.
"Sherry's passion for continuous improvement and delivering results has been the cornerstone of her success in real estate," said Duff Rubin, Southeast Regional President for Coldwell Banker Realty. "Her offices are more than workplaces; they are environments where agents find excellent support and opportunities for growth," Rubin added. "I look forward to seeing her thrive in this new leadership role."
Noles said she was "looking forward to leading a talented team in this dynamic real estate market. Together, we'll continue to innovate and elevate the real estate experience, providing our clients with the exceptional service Coldwell Banker is known for throughout the industry."
