Editor's note: The brokerage business is a busy one, with frequent moves, mergers and milestones. Here we highlight some of the latest activity among brokerages across the U.S.

Howard Hanna gains another 400 agents with latest merger

Howard Hanna Real Estate announced another merger this week — its third since late October — joining forces with Ohio-based Home Experts Realty

Clyde Corle, Broker/Owner, Home Experts Realty.

Founded in 2011, Home Experts has grown to nearly 400 agents, establishing itself as a leading independent brokerage in the region.

The merger strengthens Hanna's presence in Ohio, uniting the two companies around a shared mission of agent support, innovative client service and relationship-building, the company said.

"Home Experts Realty has built a strong, values-driven foundation that aligns perfectly with Howard Hanna's mission and culture," Shawn Adams, president of Hanna's Ohio South Central region, said in the announcement.

Home Experts' president and principal broker, Clyde Corle, said he expects the partnership "will prove to have a major impact on real estate in Southwest Ohio," adding that gaining access to Hanna's resources and sharing knowledge between the firms "will be powerful."

Between Hanna's two other recent mergers — with Big Hill Realty in Dayton, Ohio, and The Alliance Group Realty in Hilton Head, S.C. — and this latest venture with Home Experts, Howard Hanna Real Estate has added more than 600 agents to its roster in just over two months.

Austin's Spyglass Realty joins Real, adding 140 agents

Ryan Rodenbeck's Spyglass Realty, a top-producing independent brokerage in the Austin area, has joined Real under its Private Label program. The program allows brokerages to retain their brand identity while benefiting from Real's tech offerings and compensation structures — including revenue sharing.

With 140 agents and a 2024 sales volume nearing $400 million, Spyglass Realty significantly expands Real's presence in Texas, the company said.

Founded in 2008 by Rodenbeck, Spyglass Realty has grown from a small team to a regional player with more than 100 agents, expanding into Houston in late 2024. The firm has received multiple accolades, including the Austin Board of Realtors' Indy Broker of the Year in 2019 and five consecutive Best Place to Work honors from the Austin Business Journal.

Rodenbeck, a 2025 board member of the Austin Board of Realtors, also leads #RealtyHack, a content platform featuring a popular podcast and Austin's largest real estate conference.

"Spyglass Realty, under Ryan Rodenbeck's visionary leadership, epitomizes what it means to be both innovative and deeply rooted in service," Real President Sharran Srivatsaa said in the announcement. "Ryan's early adoption of technology, paired with a relentless focus on empowering experienced agents, has transformed the way real estate is done," Srivatsaa added.
