Editor's note: From regional and statewide players to locals focused on a single market, multiple listings services and Realtor associations are the backbone of residential real estate. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the organizations that are shaping the future of the industry.

Buyer listing product billed as an industry first

An Oregon-based startup is rolling out a product it says is the first buy-side focused MLS integration — an agent-only feed of "buyer want-listings."

The Buyer Listing Service is a companion to the public want-listings offered by Gitcha.

"We saw a massive gap that needed to be filled, one that only widened after the industry's class-action lawsuits," Dan Cooper, CEO of Gitcha, said in a statement. "MLSs across the country are actively seeking a way to arm their buyer agents with a new value proposition, so we got to work creating a buy-sided version of the MLS, for MLS."

Buyer want-listings can be syndicated to the Gitcha site, similar to the way for-sale listings go to portals like Zillow. The BLS also leverages AI to connect buyer wants with sell-side opportunities. "We exist as a full-featured, transaction creation platform," Cooper said.

Gitcha is currently operating in test markets in Oregon and Arizona and plans to expand as it forms new MLS partnerships.

Doorify MLS adds CMAsnap to its platform

Starting Feb. 4, members of Doorify MLS — formerly Triangle MLS — will be able to use CMAsnap to generate customizable and precise competitive market analysis reports more efficiently.

"CMAsnap was designed by agents and appraisers to make CMAs smarter, faster, and more persuasive, said Tom Cunningham, the company's founder. "By collaborating with Doorify MLS, we're thrilled to extend our reach and help even more professionals establish their proficiency, convert their opportunities and elevate their business through data-driven decision-making."

The integration is the latest example of the North Carolina MLS's commitment to "equipping real estate professionals with tools that enhance their productivity and success," said Doorify CEO Matt Fowler.

Doorify serves 15,000 agents and brokers in the greater Raleigh/Durham area and beyond. In September, the MLS changed its name to reflect its increasing presence outside North Carolina's Triangle region. As part of the rebrand, Doorify also made its listings freely available to the public.

Canopy MLS to launch AI assistant

Doorify isn't the only North Carolina MLS to announce a new tech initiative this week. On Jan. 28, Charlotte-based Canopy MLS said it is preparing to launch Ardi, an AI assistant developed by Voiceflip that aims to help Canopy's 22,000 subscribers use the platform more quickly and efficiently.

Ardi will be able to provide users with information about MLS procedures, rules and other common questions, according to a news release.

That "will make it easier for subscribers to get quick answers to their questions anytime, including after hours," said Steve Byrd, CTO and VP of Canopy MLS. "Our goal is always to help our subscribers save time and focus on what matters most — serving their clients."

REdistribute appoints data-focused tech CEO to its board

Patrick Jacolenne, CEO of DataLogiq 360 and founder of CoComply.AI, has joined the board of directors of REdistribute, an MLS-backed effort to monetize data and share revenue with participants.

Amy Gorce, CEO of REdistribute, said Jacolenne's "deep understanding of data solutions and his vision for the future of real estate and mortgage technology will be invaluable as REdistribute continues to expand its offerings and market presence."
