Former country music singer and HGTV star joins eXp
Real estate agent, house flipper and HGTV star Kortney Wilson has joined eXp Realty in Nashville, Tennessee.
Wilson brings more than 12 years of real estate sales experience to the cloud-based brokerage, along with a reputation as one of Nashville's top house flippers and a background in both real estate and design.
Those attributes, "combined with her entrepreneurial spirit," give her a unique edge when it comes to residential real estate sales, according to eXp Realty CEO Leo Pareja, who added that Wilson was a "perfect fit" for the brokerage.
"Everything I've done — from music to television to marketing — has led me to this point," Wilson said. "I want to bring confidence to my sellers, showing them that I bring something unique to the table. My job as a designer on HGTV has always been to increase home values, and now I get to apply that expertise directly to my clients."
Wilson hopes that her collaboration with eXp will also help her expand her design influence and referral reach as she steps into new roles on upcoming HGTV programs.
NY luxury agent moves to Brown Harris Stevens
Luxury real estate specialist Ellis Bachman has joined Brown Harris Stevens, serving the brokerage's Miami and New York offices as a dual-state agent, after seven years at Douglas Elliman.
Bachman has achieved more than $500 million in lifetime sales and was named a Rising Star at Elliman in 2023. Bess Freedman, Brown Harris Stevens CEO, described Bachman as "a dynamic and accomplished real estate professional whose experience, creativity, and dedication align perfectly with our values."
His transition to Brown Harris Stevens is the next step in a career focused on innovation and a unique approach to real estate sales, the company said in a news release.
"I deeply value the importance of homes as places that foster connection, comfort, and belonging," Bachman said. "While living in New York in Greenwich Village and Fire Island Pines, my husband and I spent extensive time visiting and renting in Miami prior to solidifying our roots with a home in Miami Beach. Brown Harris Stevens has an unmatched reputation, and I am excited to be a member of such an esteemed organization in two world class cities."
Execs from The Agency, Official launch new venture
Heavy hitters from across the real estate spectrum have teamed up to create a new estate firm focused on advising and helping developers and investors at every stage of their projects.
The new company, Redeavor, is launching with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Las Vegas and Nashville, as well as $4 billion worth of represented real estate across the globe, according to a news release. The leadership teams includes Mike Leipart, who founded The Agency Development Group; Shane Farkas, former COO and CTO at The Agency; Andrew Wachtfogel, who co-founded and led new development at Official; and Wade Hundley, former CEO of ST Residential and current CEO of Formida Capital.
"What sets Redeavor apart is our ability to look at development opportunities through multiple lenses," said Wachtfogel, the new firm's co-founder and managing principal. "We're not just sales partners — we're bringing institutional-grade advisory services and capital solutions to the table. Given current market conditions, this integrated approach is particularly crucial, as many developments require creative solutions to optimize value."
Redeavor will offer three core divisions: development sales, advisory services and capital investment. Together, these divisions are meant to move developers from the idea stage through to the last property sale in a project.
Coldwell Banker Premier adds Las Vegas team
Southern Nevada real estate brokerage Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, home to more than 200 agents, is growing. The firm, led by Bob and Molly Hamrick, has welcomed the high-producing Las Vegas agents known as the Mullin Group, the company announced this week.
The team, led by Matt Mullin, has consistently produced over $2.6 million in gross commissions over the last five years. Mullin will take on the role of head of strategic growth and talent development for Coldwell Banker Premier.
"I believe the most impactful results — those that ripple through our client experiences, families, and communities — stem from our own growth as leaders," said Mullin. "By continuously improving ourselves and leading by example in all aspects of life, we create lasting positive change."
Mullin also brings top-producing agents like Doug Verhaalen and a support staff that includes Crystal Brown, who has been his operations manager for the last 12 years. The Mullin Group works with anywhere from 225 to 315 families yearly in the Las Vegas area, greatly expanding Coldwell Banker Premier's influence in the area.
