Gwin comes to Fathom from mortgage lender American Financial Network, where he also held the COO role, and brings more than two decades of experience in the financial and real estate sectors.
While spending much of his career on the mortgage side of the industry, he has been a licensed agent since 2006 and previously managed a brokerage company in San Diego. He also has a law degree, and has held roles involving legal and compliance oversight within the financial services industry.
In his new role at Fathom, Gwin said he will be focused on "innovation, strategic growth and efficient operations" to "build upon the current success of all brands to add value every day."
Fathom Holdings CEO Marco Fregenal highlighted Gwin's "extensive experience and proven track record in the real estate and mortgage industries," adding: "Jon's strategic vision and innovative mindset will help drive our continued growth and success across all of Fathom's brands. We look forward to the exciting contributions he will make in his new role."
The holding company supports several brands, including Fathom Realty, Encompass Lending, intelliAgent, LiveBy, Real Results, Verus Title and Cornerstone. Fathom Realty is among the top brokerage firms in the U.S., with more than $16 billion in sales volume in 2022 and more than 10,000 agents, according to T3 Sixty's 2023 Real Estate Almanac.
EXIT Realty appoints a new CIO
Susan Harrison, a 36-year real estate industry veteran, has been promoted to chief information officer at EXIT Realty.
Following stints at two other large franchisors, Harrison joined EXIT nearly 24 years ago as senior vice president. Throughout her tenure, she has led efforts in multiple areas including franchise support, web development, ancillary services, corporate communications and social media.
As CIO, she will be focused on evaluating EXIT's technology requirements and driving tech initiatives forward through a combination of in-house and third-party solutions. She will also continue to oversee The Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program.
"My first priority as CIO is to listen," Harrison said. "It's important that our executive team, management, staff, regional owners, franchisees, administrators and sales team know they have a voice in how the future of technology at EXIT will take shape."
EXIT Founder Steve Morris pointed to Harrison's "depth of knowledge and experience with EXIT" as assets that would "help further the company's mission."
EXIT Realty ranked No. 16 among real estate franchise brands in 2023, with more than $25 billion in sales volume, according to the Real Estate Almanac.
