San Diego MLS adds Checkmate from VestaPlus, which is also teaming up with ListAssist to expand reach; CoreLogic launches new OneHomeowner portal.
Editor's note: Technology is a driving force in real estate. From startups to established players, tech companies are constantly innovating, growing and forging partnerships. Here we highlight some of the latest news about the companies that help power the industry.
VestaPlus' Checkmate chosen by San Diego MLS
With an eye towards the upcoming removal of compensation offers from the MLS, San Diego MLS has chosen Checkmate from VestaPlus as its new compliance tool.
Our vendor selection process for compliance was rigorous," says Saul Klein, CEO of the San Diego MLS. "By our assessment, Checkmate is the best application in the industry, and will enable us to support our brokers and agents as we endeavor to comply with the new settlement terms."
Checkmate will allow SDMLS to manage rule violations on data and photos with a single solution that includes detection, corrections, training, appeals, invoicing, and online payments.
"Our existing compliance contract will be in place for another year, but VestaPlus was willing to activate the AI photo compliance functionality while we finish out our other contract, then move seamlessly into the full Checkmate product suite," Klein said.
In other VestaPlus news, New Zealand startup LisaAssist, which offers AI-enhanced search as well as image and data optimization, is expanding its partnership with MLS software platform VestaPlus to include Central Wisconsin Board of Realtors, Firelands Association of Realtors, Northwest Wisconsin MLS, Pensacola Association of Realtors, along with San Diego MLS and previously announced Staten Island MLS.
Three additional real estate organizations have been benefiting from the ListAssist-powered AI photo compliance module Checkmate: The MLSTM in Los Angeles, Greater Palm Springs Realtors and Imperial County Association of Realtors.
CoreLogic launches agent-invite-only OneHomeowner portal
CoreLogic this month launched OneHomeowner, which will allow agents to create a private home-management portal for their clients — and stay connected between transactions.
OneHomeowner will include tools, resources and reminders of important tasks as well as access to service providers and cost estimates.
"Today's clients have portals to manage their healthcare, personal finances and education, but there isn't anything to manage their home," said Kevin Greene, general manager of real estate solutions at CoreLogic. "We expect that OneHomeowner will drive engagement and create a wellspring of repeat clients and referrals."
OneHomeowner is making its debut on Western Arizona Realtor Data Exchange, Inc.
WARDEX CEO Kim Everett said, "Our staff and board of directors believe that OneHomeowner will delight homeowners and help build stronger relationships with their Realtor."
OneHomeowner is a build on OneHome, CoreLogic's agent-invitation-only search portal with over 20 million monthly visits. "For the first time, we're extending our OneHome services beyond the transaction and helping agents develop clients for life," Greene said.
MIAMI Association of Realtors adds CubiCasa floor plans
CubiCasa continues its expansion, partnering with the MIAMI Association of Realtors to bring its floor-plan technology to the fourth-largest MLS in the nation, with more than 60,000 subscribers.
"Floor plans are a critical component in creating a better home search experience for consumers, especially for our Miami global buyers who depend on accurate and detailed online information to make informed decisions," said Teresa King Kinney, CEO of the MIAMI Association of Realtors. "This collaboration with CubiCasa will greatly enhance the quality and transparency of our listings."
CubiCasa said more than 15% of estimated new home listings in the U.S. have a CubiCasa floor plan.
